Mackay
Roller Hockey Dragons, formed this year, is a branch of Mackay Roller Sports
Association Inc. Dragons train and
play at BG’s Sports Centre on Broadsound Road.
Dragons proudly boast eight local league teams with many players only
starting in February/March this year and already showing so much talent and
enthusiasm.
Members range in age from 6 years to mid 40’s.
Dragons Roller Hockey cater for all skaters – from those learning the
basics and just wanting to have fun to regional, state and national level
players.

Mackay
Roller Hockey Dragons has eight players representing Queensland at the
Australian Roller Hockey Championships to be held in Melbourne in September.
Successful players were selected after competing at the State Roller
Hockey Titles that were held in Townsville at Easter.
Mackay
Dragon’s Queensland representative players are:
Nathan Griffiths,
Scott Hayman, Andrew Kidcaff, Anthony Powell and Trent Thomson.
The Queensland Coach for this team is Mackay Dragon’s
Ladies player Vicki Wust, herself a National and International representative
player.
Vicki Wust and Teresa Humberdross (goalkeeper) are
members of the Queensland Ladies team.
Drew Thomson will represent in the Masters Division.
Drew represented Mackay at the State Titles in Townsville at Easter and
at the Seniors Cup in Gladstone in June.
